Moshi/Arusha
Early Morning
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive east toward Mkomazi National Park. This lesser-visited park offers wide open plains, acacia woodland, and excellent views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days.
Enjoy a full-day game drive where you may encounter giraffes, zebras, oryx, hartebeests, elands, elephants, and a wide variety of birdlife. The park is also known for its conservation projects protecting black rhinos and African wild dogs.
After a picnic lunch inside the park, continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of northern Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations.
On arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive through landscapes dotted with giant baobab trees and seasonal swamps. The wildlife-rich Tarangire River attracts elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and many bird species throughout the year.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.
Spend a full day exploring Tarangire National Park, allowing time to visit different sections of the park and follow wildlife activity.
Early morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to see large elephant herds, lions, leopards, ostriches, warthogs, and numerous antelope species. The combination of open savannah, riverine woodland, and baobab-dotted plains makes Tarangire one of the most scenic parks on the northern circuit.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the scenic highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
As you enter the Serengeti, enjoy a game drive en route to camp. The endless plains offer classic safari scenery and abundant wildlife. You may spot lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and hyenas.
Dinner and overnight inside the park.
Today is devoted to a full day of safari in Serengeti National Park.
Set out early when animals are most active. Your guide will explore different areas of the park based on recent wildlife sightings and seasonal animal movements. Depending on the time of year, you may witness part of the Great Migration.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy another full day in Serengeti National Park, giving you more flexibility to reach wildlife-rich sectors of the park.
You may encounter lions on rocky kopjes, cheetahs scanning the plains, elephants moving through woodland areas, and vast herds of grazing plains game.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Spend your final full day in Serengeti National Park exploring additional regions of the park and enjoying the rhythm of the African wilderness.
With four days in the Serengeti, there is ample opportunity to maximize wildlife viewing and appreciate the vastness and beauty that make the park one of Africa’s greatest safari destinations.
Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart the Serengeti National Park and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater floor, where one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife can be found. You may see black rhinos, lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and hyenas.
After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, continue your afternoon game drive before ascending the crater and transferring to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, enjoy a cultural visit to a traditional Maasai village near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
During your visit, you will learn about Maasai traditions, cattle culture, local homes, songs, dances, and daily life. This cultural experience offers a meaningful insight into one of East Africa’s most recognized communities.
After the visit, begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon and marking the end of your safari with Bavon Tours and Safaris.
